PULAY 

Description

By adding this keyword to the input file, the default converger in the SCF calculation will be replaced by Pulay’s procedure of density matrix projection as soon as the density matrix is sufficiently stable. A considerable improvement in speed can be achieved by use of PULAY in some cases where convergence is typically difficult See Chapter 4, Computational Procedures for a description of the SCF procedure.
